University Projects

My degree was a balance between artistic and logical, which suits the type of thinker I am. There were many core subjects that focused on creating innovative designs and studied how art, technology and information design can be combined. I chose to take most of my electives in the IT faculty, which provided a solid knowledge in programming basics and beyond.

For our final semester in Design Computing we were required to undertake an individual project that encouraged us to research a community in the developing world. Based on user needs (or potential needs) we designed and built a functioning prototype using mobile technology. The project was submitted in the form of a website portfolio.

Moray

Moray is an interactive wireframe 3D modelling program, which we used to learn the basics of 3D modelling, such as lighting, surfaces and textures. The course assignment required us to model an object of reasonable detail/difficulty. Here are four renders (images) of the "Dance Dance Revolution" machine I decided to model:

  • DDR Render 1
  • DDR Render 2
  • DDR Render 3
  • DDR Render 4
